Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative – Variable Hours at Holbeach in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
As the Training Area Operative you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.
As a Variable Hours member of staff we guarantee you a minimum of 8 hours a month, this will usually be early mornings and late evenings.
This is a flexible role, offering you the opportunity to work around other commitments, or a way of earning extra income.
Our main Core hours are Mon-Fri
We have Night flying from the 1st Sept to the 30th April working Tuesdays and Thursdays until 2200 and occasionally during the summer months to encompass any essential training required
Main Responsibility
Maintenance of the training area
Preparing training area for use
Grounds maintenance
Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment(Full Training given)
Basic Housekeeping
Equipment testing
Driving and operating fleet vehicles
Raising and lowering flags for safety purposes
Reporting defects
Report and deal with unauthorised persons on the training area estate
To liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective training area delivery
Direct and advise wider training estate users including the general public
To complete all relevant documentation using both IT and paper based systems
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge of health and safety
Knowledge of range assignment instructions and range standing orders (desirable not essential)
Experience as a range/Training area user (desirable not essential)
Experience of communicating with customers
Work in a diverse multi-tasking mobile team environment
Demonstrate proven track record of achieving objectives
Ability to operate rural plant and machinery (full training provided)
Basic IT skills
Have a full drivers licence valid in the United Kingdom (Essential)
Candidates must meet the UK residency requirements
