Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Area Operative at Kirkcudbright Training Area. The role will work outside on the Ranges and Training Area carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks on the Estate, these might include basic DIY, repairing targets and hand over and take back of the ranges from the Armed Forces.

The core hours are 37 per week, but you will be expected to work between the hours of 07.00 and 19.00 – this is any 5 days out of 7 days.
Main Responsibility
Preparing military ranges and training areas for use
Preventative maintenance
Driving and operating fleet vehicles
General maintenance and DIY skills
Forestry and maintenance works
To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work
Cleaning duties
Manufacturing targets
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge of working safely
Have a full drivers licence valid in the United Kingdom
Basic IT skills such as tablet use
Previous cleaning experience desirable
Willingness to undertake full training
