Join Landmarc Support Services as a Training Area Operative and play a key role in supporting the UK’s Armed Forces. This 6-month fixed-term opportunity offers the chance to work outdoors, develop practical skills, and gain meaningful experience, all while securing reliable income in the run-up to the festive period.
Shifts run between: 08:30 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday. This role may involve occasional weekend shifts, which will be discussed during the interview process.
Hours of work: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term – 6 Months
Annual Allowances: £1,127.50 (pro-rata) for working weekends
Location: Caerwent Camp, Monmouthshire, NP26 5XL

This is a hands-on and varied role, where you will
- Prepare and maintain training areas
- Carry out grounds maintenance and basic forestry work (full training provided)
- Operate plant and equipment
- Support range control, access, and safety systems
- Drive and operate fleet vehicles
- Carry out inspections, testing, and reporting
- Engage with service personnel and members of the public
About You
- We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys outdoor, practical work
- Thrives in a team-based, fast-paced environment
- Has a basic understanding of health & safety (training provided where needed)
- Demonstrates good communication and problem-solving skills
- Is comfortable using basic IT systems and completing documentation
- No previous experience? No problem, full training will be provided.
