Landmarc Support Services is seeking a motivated Facilities Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a group of operatives dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of the Training Estate facilities. Typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

We are looking for someone with experience working in a Facilities Management industry or leading a high-performing team in a similar environment.

 

Shifts run between:  Monday – Sunday 08:00 – 16.30. Working hours to be discussed in interview.

Hours of work:  37 per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sennybridge Training Camp, Powys, LD3 8PN

Interviews will be held on: Monday 6th - Tuesday 7th July

Main Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for coordinating a team as the first line manager by being the first point of contact, task allocation and work checking. 
  • To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work reporting defects, reporting unauthorised persons on the Training Area Estate.
  • To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective training area delivery e.g. handover/take back of facilities 
  • To complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper-based systems.
  • Lead team members in duties and performance
  • To be responsible for coordinating a team as the first line manager by being the first point of contact, task allocation and work checking. 
  • To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities are fit for purpose preparing training areas for use
  • Working alongside the team in general housekeeping, building and grounds maintenance
  • Monitoring the completion of Preventative Planned Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance Tasks to maintain compliance
  • Operate fleet vehicles and plant machinery as required
  • Ensure all safety regulations and operational procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using IT and paper-based systems

Secondary duties:

  • To carry out additional works in response to additional contract requirements (Fee earning)
  • Maintain competence, skills and abilities within relevant discipline.
  • Mentoring apprentices or trainees.
  • Accept appointment as Authorised Person (AP) for safe systems of work in relevant skills discipline as required to support the business.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of working in a rural environment
  • Knowledge of range assignment instructions and range standing orders
  • Experience as a range/ training area user
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Experience in Estate Services and Maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including COSHH, manual handling, and risk assessments
  • Familiarity with estate services, grounds maintenance, and plant machinery operations
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database management
  • A valid UK manual driving licence is essential for this role
