SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – DEFENCE ESTATE
£59,800–£65,955 (DOE) + £7,200 Car Allowance | Permanent, Office‑Based | Hythe Ranges, Kent
As Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead pre‑construction programmes ranging from £200K to £10M, shaping some of the UK’s most unique and high‑impact infrastructure projects. Your work directly supports the UK Armed Forces by ensuring new facilities, training environments and modern accommodation are designed safely, compliantly and ready for delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to influence major schemes that strengthen military capability and future‑proof the Defence Training Estate.
The Essentials
- Salary: £59,800–£65,955 (DOE) + £7,200 car allowance
- Location: Hythe Ranges, Reachfields, Hythe, Kent, CT21 6QD
- Contract: Permanent, office‑based, Mon–Fri, 37 hrs
- Travel: Required within the South East region (with travel costs covered)
About the Organisation
Landmarc supports the UK Armed Forces by keeping the Defence Training Estate running safely and effectively. We manage training areas and ranges, maintain essential infrastructure and deliver major improvement projects that enhance military training across the UK.
What You’ll Do
- Lead pre‑construction strategy and develop client briefs
- Oversee design assurance, CDM compliance and risk management
- Provide project assurance as schemes move into delivery
- Influence a wide range of infrastructure projects including accommodation, dining facilities, urban training environments and digital training systems
- Support major M&E upgrades aligned to net‑zero objectives
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong construction project management background
- Knowledge of CDM, COSHH, LOLER and PUWER
- PRINCE2, MSP, APM PMQ (or similar)
- HND+ in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services
- NEC contract experience
- Full UK driving licence
Nice to Have
- Additional technical or project management qualifications
- Experience within defence, estates or regulated environments
