Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services are looking to recruit a technical Planning Manager with a strong understanding of technical services within the built environment, you will also have a thorough understanding of maintenance and work scheduling. This exciting role will be a member of the Senior Management team within the South East region and will be required to input a strategic view.

The post will be based at Longmoor Camp in Liss, Hampshire and regular travel will be required across the South East region to include sites in Surrey, East Sussex, Kent and Hampshire.

Main Responsibility

Manage a team of people including maintenance managers, across the South East region

Manage the regional planned preventative maintenance programme including:

  • Creation and maintenance of the Establishment Specific Task Schedule
  • Ensuring that all assets are compliant within the contract requirements including the Hard FM Standards & Tasks

 

Delegate the delivery of maintenance tasks to regional maintenance teams

Act as the focal point for maintenance scheduling and working processes within region

Report on progress, highlighting areas for concern and take appropriate action to ensure statutory and mandatory inspections are delivered with no failures

Ensure all remedial maintenance is identified, planned and funded to meet contractual obligations in line with KPIs

To assist with the management of the reactive maintenance programme for all technical reactive work including:

  • Assisting the allocation during in-hours
  • Maintain out-of-hours system where required

To be a responsible member of the regional management team supporting other team members as required carrying out activities including, but not limited to, investigations, auditing, training, creating reports and analysing management information

The Ideal Candidate

You will be qualified in a mechanical and electrical background or will have gained appropriate experience or knowledge of Facilities Management gained through a Level 5 qualification such as NVQ in a relevant discipline or gained through appropriate experience

IT skills including the use of planning software i.e. Maximo

Knowledge of maintenance and inspection methodologies including statutory and mandatory requirements. Previous knowledge of DE / DIO schedules B&C or SFG20 PPM schedules an advantage

Knowledge gained through membership of an appropriate professional body such as BIFM, Association of Building Engineers or equivalent

  • OR IET, CIBSE or CIOB (desirable)
  • Rural / countryside / land management knowledge (desirable)

 

Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work to IOSH Managing Safely level

  • JSP375 (Desirable)
  • AP (Desirable)

Knowledge of managing multi services delivery gained through managing multi-disciplinary technical teams

 

 

What you can do

Able to ensure appropriate quality standards are adhered to across functions

Planning and analysis skills

IT skills including the use of planning software. Familiarity with IBM Maximo up to version 7.6, including graphical scheduling and assignment a distinct advantage. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Excel

Able to produce reliable management information and coordinate information gathered by others. Ensure KPIs for planned and reactive maintenance are met, and accurate reports produced for regional and head office management teams

Able to manage budgets through maximising income and controlling costs

Able to communicate clearly at all levels

Able to drive continuous improvement (BSi process audit familiar or qualified an advantage)

Able to performance manage teams and outputs by utilising management tools
