Job Introduction

Landmarc support services are currently looking to recruit a Learning and Development Advisor, to join the team on a hybrid working basis at the Netheravon office, this is initially a 2 year fixed term contract to support the development of new learning materials and learning solutions across a range of mediums including our Learner Management System (Moodle).  The post will also support some key project work in the development of our Moodle environment.

The post will also provide advice and guidance on the design, development and delivery of the appropriate blended learning solutions required to equip people at all levels in the organisation to perform their roles. 

Main Responsibility

Assist in high-profile project work to develop Landmarc’s Learner Management System (Moodle) including moving from an on-premise model to a cloud based deployment

Develop the functionality of the Learning Management System to enhance the end-user experience and provide improved management reporting

Support end users, many of whom will be new Learning Management System users

Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review and create content across a range of subject areas

Conduct regular reviews of all training materials, to maintain currency and fitness for purpose liaising with business owners where appropriate and updating or replacing as necessary

Facilitate the creation of development tools and online learning content by liaising with business owners and SME’s to ensure business needs are met

Utilise tools such as the benchMARC (appraisal performance review) process to capture any identified training or development needs

Utilise the full training cycle (training needs analysis, developing appropriate solutions, delivery and evaluation) to ensure business needs are met

Ensure that operationally critical training is identified, prioritising where necessary, ensuring economies of scale, value for money and standards of delivery are met across all specialisms (e.g. Operations; Contract Services; Quality; Health & Safety; Environmental; Management; Finance; HR etc) 

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of new technologies and approaches to Learning & Development including Learning Management Systems, e-learning platforms and content creation software

Knowledge of video production techniques to support creation of on-line content

Working knowledge of the Moodle platform including knowledge of system configuration, user management, reporting, data import and export

Knowledge of creating content in Storyline 360 and Rise 360 is desirable

Broad knowledge of Health & Safety such as COSHH, manual handling and risk assessments of work to IOSH Working Safely level to support SME’s with content development 

Knowledge of the full training cycle gained through a relevant Level 3 Qualification such as CIPD L&D Practitioner or gained through appropriate experience

Knowledge of different learnings styles and experience of applying these to suit the requirements 

Ability to develop and deliver training using a wide variety of training delivery skills and techniques

Create and deliver online learning content on subjects required for Landmarc’s business needs to support mandatory and developmental training

Support the creation of video content

Manage and administer the Learning Management System and Learning Library

Ability to use Microsoft Office and other databases

Demonstrate planning and prioritisation skills

Ability to pay excellent attention to detail

Communicate to a wide audience in a clear, concise and effective way
