Common Data Environment Manager (Internal Applications Only)

Job Introduction

As part of the Training Estate Support Contract where Landmarc will play a pivotal role in managing an Estate of some 9000 Assets spread across 200,000 hectares of land in all four constituent parts of the United Kingdom, there have been many challenges faced during the mobilisation phase. Amongst those challenges is need to adopt, implement and deliver Billable Works Services on a Common Data Environment (CDE) platform that is fully aligned to BIM principles and methodologies, and can deliver a digital-twin into the Client’s CDE.

Landmarc has chosen Asite as its host platform to facilitate the CDE, with tender and contracts management, and supply chain management modules supporting the Billable Works Services that is delivered by the Programme Delivery teams centrally and across the six regions.

Main Responsibility

The role is to continue the implementation of Asite into everyday working practice, and be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Landmarc on the Asite platform. The post holder will continue with the development and implementation, and champion the CDE processes and procedures for programme and project delivery under the Billable Works System. They will work collaboratively with the CSO PMO and Senior Programme manager in continuing to set the standards, processes, procedures and template documentation for programme and project delivery teams to follow, that will enable the production of project documentation to fulfil the Buyers requirements. The post holder will act as the company’s CDE expert, provide guidance and support to the programme and project delivery teams, and ensure that the CDE platform remains operational and fit for purpose.

The duties of the role are broken down into the two following categories:

·Primary duties

  • Represent Landmarc as the focal point and SME for development, training and continued implementation of Landmarc’s instance on the Asite operating platform.
  • Be the SME of Landmarc’s instance on the Asite platform during Business As Usual (BAU). (Noting that this is recognised as a developing capability for the applicant, with training provided).
  • Manage, develop and continuously improve on CDE related processes and procedures.
  • Provision of continued development and delivery of CDE user training for Landmarc staff, DIO users and the supply chain users.
  • Conduct and manage CDE audits as a member of Landmarc’s audit team.
  • To liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure CDE compliance across the Defence Training Estate. Fostering a close working relationship with regional programme and project delivery teams, as well as other internal departments with a vested

The Ideal Candidate

What you know / have

  • You will have accomplished in-depth knowledge of IT, with a good understanding of software operating systems.
  • Are or have been previously an IT administrative user.
  • You will have a good level of project management competency, with evidence to support.
  • You will have well-established skills in Windows PC environments and applications including, MS Teams and SharePoint.

 

Desirables

  • You will have knowledge of CDE’s, preferably with the Asite platform.
  • Experience of working within the Defence environment.

  • You will have demonstrated the ability to develop policies, procedures and technical implementation documents from a standing start.

 

  • Be a self-starter, committed to the successful and continued use of the Landmarc’s instance on the Asite platform.
  • You will have the passion, drive and commitment to bring others with you in understanding the benefits from the introduction of a CDE into the business.
  • Be prepared to travel when required to the six regional areas of the UK Defence Training Estate.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Be flexible and capable to accept, implement and manage change, sometimes significant and at short notice.
  • Work collaboratively with others, and be able to operate in isolation.
  • Manage and work effectively and efficiently with consultants and contractors.
  • Be willing to undertake mandatory and career development courses as directed by line management and to meet the needs of the business.

  • Must be able to lead by positive example, setting a high standard for others to follow.
  • To be the Asite SME and prepared to provide advice, mentoring, training and guidance to projects staff and other internal and external stakeholders.
