Job Introduction

Landmarc Support services are currently looking for ___ enthusiastic individuals to join the team to work across both Hythe and Lydd Military Training Facilities.

As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis. You will be required to work flexibly over the course of a 37 hour working week between the hours of 07:30 -23:30 to support with night firing. You will be required to work weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.

Experience in security, grounds/general maintenance and computer based systems with a flexible can do you attitude.

Hours of work - 37 per week

Days of work - Monday to Sunday

Contract - Permanent

 

 

Main Responsibility

Establish a Safe Place for the armed forces to train

Maintaining the training facilities

Hand over and take back of the Facilities, ensuring they are fit for use

Operating computer based target systems and target construction

Grounds maintenance

Preventative and Reactive maintenance tasks

Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment (training will be provided)

Driving and operating fleet vehicles

Carry out additional duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work

Acts responsibly to maintain a safe environment

Takes all reasonable steps to carry out tasks safely

Demonstrates energy, enthusiasm and passionate commitment to the business

Work in a diverse multi-tasking team environment

Ability to operate plant machinery

Prepared to undertake further training

Basic IT skills

Excellent communicator with people on all levels

Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
