Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services currently have an exciting opportunity for a Training Area Operative to join the team at Wyke Regis Training Camp in Weymouth.
As the Training Area Operative you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for accounting, maintaining and replacing Military stores, and maintenance tasks on the Defence Estate, working alongside and under the direction of serving soldiers to support Royal Engineers training on the Fleet Lagoon.
This role is being offered on a 37 hour permanent contract from Monday – Friday, occasional overtime will be available.
Main Responsibility
To assist with the smooth day to day running of the Watermanship sub Dept including but not limited to;
Supporting Army Unit Trg
Accounting for all Stores on Charge (Stocktaking)
Ordering Spares on Computer
Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI)
Updating Boat Operators maintenance records, and job requests on Computerised systems (JAMES)
Maintaining boats
Safety Boat Operating
Life Jacket & Supervisor Maintenance
Crane Slinging
Maintenance tasks on the Defence Estate such as; pressure washing & strimming
Carry out additional duties as required
The Ideal Candidate
Candidates must be Physically Fit
Have good Computer Literacy skills
Desirable candidates will be familiar with Tech Docs online; Complete Equipment Schedules (CES’S), Technical Documents on line (TDOL), Army Equipment Support Publications (AESP’s)
Must possess Full Manual Driving Licence valid in the UK
Have awareness of MoD Accounting Procedures (desirable but not essential)
