Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services work on site with Defence Infrastructure Organisation to support critical military training across the United Kingdom. We are a small business that operates nationally, but with a local feel.
We are looking for seven enthusiastic individuals to join the team, you will work flexibly across sites at both Lydd and Hythe Military Training Facilities. The role requires no previous experience of working in a military environment, these great opportunities come with excellent training and to ability be able to gain a wealth of skills, once fully trained with the correct amount of skills, you will be able to move up to a higher grade of pay.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis. You will be required to work flexibly over the course of a 37 hour working week between the hours of 07:30 -23:30 to support with night firing. You will be required to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.
No experience needed, just a flexible and can do attitude!
Main Responsibility
Maintenance and setting up of firing ranges
Construction of targets for range use
Preventative and Reactive maintenance tasks
Grounds maintenance such as fencing, mowing and strimming
Potential for forestry work such as removal of fallen trees – training will be provided
Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment – training will be provided
Driving and operating fleet vehicles
To ensure that the Training Estate Facilities adhere to safe systems of work
The Ideal Candidate
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Excellent communicator with people on all levels
Basic IT skills
Work in a diverse multi-tasking team environment
Ability to operate plant machinery
Prepared to undertake further training
Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
