Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative, based at Ballykinler Training Centre.
As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.
We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.
This role is a 5 in 7 post. You will be required to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends.
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30 and Friday 08:00- 13:00.
Main Responsibility
General maintenance to include cleaning
Grounds maintenance to include use of a strimmer, using a ride on mower and other mechanical equipment on site
Driving and operating fleet vehicles – please note that full training will be provided, but a UK Driving Licence is essential
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge of Health and Safety
Experience of communicating with customers.
Work in a diverse multi-tasking mobile team environment
Basic laboring, caretaking and housekeeping skills
Demonstrate proven track record of achieving objectives
Ability to complete documentation
Basic IT skills
Be vaccinated against work place risks; keep tetanus and polio vaccinations up to date, and participate in company instigated vaccination programmes where there is a recognised health risk in your role e.g. Hepatitis A and B’
Willingness to undertake training to work in high risk areas e.g. transporting dangerous loads
