Job Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Manager to join our team based at Longmoor Camp, in Liss Hampshire. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of our technical processes across the region.
Travel required: This role covers the South East, including Hampshire, Surrey and Kent, with a potential for wider UK travel.
Main Responsibility
Technical Knowledge: Investigate technical issues and provide reports to managers, advise and assist maintenance managers on technical issues.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to existing processes to ensure accurate, consistent, and auditable records that meet legal requirements.
Collaborative Work: Work closely with managers to achieve continuous and auditable service delivery compliance across the region.
Compliance Management: Update and review the Asbestos Register, monitor water temperature profiles, and manage the completion of works arising from Legionella Risk Assessments.
Inspection and Audit Preparation: Prepare for and host authority inspections and Authorising Engineers Audits.
Safety Compliance: Ensure suitable Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all relevant activities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 5 years in a building services technical managerial position.
- Have familiarity with Asbestos, Legionella, DSEAR, Gas, Electric, Petroleum and Fire safety.
- Able to drive and travel throughout Wales and the West Midlands, with potential wider UK travel
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation as it applies to the facilities management industry
- Develop and recommend asset management strategies even in uncertain or evolving circumstances
