Based at Longmoor Camp (GU33 6EL), as the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for contractual delivery plans across the South East region, providing technical advice and strategic guidance relating to the built estate to ensure compliance with the contract, building regulations/standards and other statutory requirements.
Review, update and submit plans for agreement and signature, these include the Integrated Estate Management Plan, Asbestos Management Plan and the Legionella Management Plan
Ensure these plans are delegated to regional delivery staff as required
To act as the focal point for the Utilities Management Bureau, liaising with head office and contractors as required
Be responsible for the maintenance of the Master index, Asset Register, Asset Condition database and reporting monthly on statutory compliance of assets
Act as AP coordinator for the East and be responsible for ensuring that Authorised Persons (AP) cover is adequate across the region
Be responsible for statutory compliance such as Building Regulations/Standards, Fire Safety, Equality Act, Planning and Environmental Guidance, complying with CDM requirements and act as asbestos and legionella coordinator
Participate in management call out rota
Accept appointment as Authorised Person (AP) for safe systems of work in relevant skills discipline as required to support the business
The Ideal Candidate
You will be qualified in a technical bias, this might be Mechanical, Electrical or Building and Civil Engineering, or have gained appropriate knowledge through a time served role
Knowledge of the building services and statutory regulations to include SFG20 standards, CDM, legionella and asbestos
Health & Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work to IOSH Managing Safely level
IT skills to a competent level including using and interrogating asset management systems
Knowledge of project work and the practicalities of delivery
Able to ensure appropriate quality standards are adhered to across functions
