Team Manager/Motor Transport Coordinator (internal only)

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Manager and Motor Transport Coordinator to join our team at RAF Spadeadam. To line manage a multi-disciplinary team ensuring they are motivated and engaged to deliver contractual requirements and to manage associated resources including motor transport section.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transport services.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)

Main Responsibility

Logistical Planning: Strategise and optimise transport routes and schedules to enhance efficiency.

People & Shift Management: Oversee and manage staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and performance.

Fleet Maintenance: Coordinate the servicing and repairs of all vehicles to ensure they are in top condition.

Accident Management: Handle all aspects of accident reporting and resolution.

Driver Compliance: Ensure all drivers meet necessary qualifications and adhere to company policies.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and tools
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure compliance and accuracy in all operations
  • Flexible approach to adapt to changing situations and requirements
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in transport management
  • Must hold full UK Driving Licence
