Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services, a leading provider of facilities management for the Ministry of Defence, are entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining and managing the Training Area and Ranges across the UK ensuring they are safe and fit for purpose for military training exercises.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Manager to lead our multi-disciplined team responsible for the management and maintenance of the Training Area and Ranges at Lydd Camp in Kent.

Main Responsibility

Manage and lead a team of people and be responsible for overseeing performance, attendance, behaviour and welfare.

Ensure timely completion of work orders, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and range management processes.

Allocate tasks and ensure work is carried out to the required standards.

Oversee allocation and use of resources and equipment, including plant and vehicles.

Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance tasks and ensure training areas are fit for purpose.

Manage training area usage and record keeping, including range safety, HR, and health and safety documentation.

Coordinate with external contractors and service providers.

Identify and promote best practices, including environmental compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Familiarity with rural, forestry, arboriculture, and grounds maintenance practices
  • Plant and Machinery Operation knowledge
  • Understanding of workload scheduling and work order processes
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite such as Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance such as CoSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and working to IOSH Managing Safely level
  • Must hold Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
