Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services is currently looking for a motivated Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a group of operatives dedicated to maintaining the Rural Estate. Typical tasks conducted by the team include fencing and stone track repairs, forestry works, vegetation cutting, and other rural management tasks.

We are looking for a someone with experience working on a Rural Estate or leading a high-performing team in a similar environment.

 

Shifts run between: 07:00 - 17:30 from Monday to Friday 

Hours of work: 37 per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: West Tofts Camp, Thetford, Norfolk, IP26 5EP

Main Responsibility

Lead and manage a team, acting as their primary point of contact for task allocation and performance management

Play an active role - 80% of your time will involve working alongside your team

Carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks

Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment

Fencing and Stone Track repairs and maintenance

Forestry works including; felling, tree planting, coppicing

Driving and operating fleet vehicles

General environmental and conservation tasks

Ensure that the Rural Estate adhere to strict safety protocols

Complete all necessary documentation using both IT and paper-based systems

Perform additional tasks as needed to support the overall success of the team

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of Rural Landscape Maintenance

Enthusiasm and passion for environmental conservation and working outdoors

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels

Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases

Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment

Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures

A proactive approach to learning and personal development

A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role
