Job Introduction
Landmarc, a world leading provider of facilities services to the military, offers exciting opportunities for talented people to join our team. Landmarc are the dedicated contractor that maintains the Defence Training Estate across the UK, this role will be part of the team at Lydd Camp in Romney Marsh, and you will also be required to work at Hythe Ranges when required.
The contractual requirement will mean that you will be available to work between the hours of 07.30 and 23.30, this would include some weekends.
You will most likely be working shifts from 16.00 – 23.30 weekdays and on weekends, the requirement would either be an early start 07.30 – 16.00 or 16.00 to 23.30, the role will work a total of 37 hours per week this will be to predominately cover night firing taking place on the estate.
The Team Leader is responsible for managing a team of operatives dedicated to maintenance, typical tasks conducted by the team include grounds maintenance, preparing military ranges and training areas for use and access control. As the Team Leader you will be responsible for the delivery and taking the lead for a group of people and/or tasks.
Main Responsibility
Responsible for co-ordinating your team as their line manager and first point of contact for task allocation, and work checking
Be part of the team and not just a leader. 80% of the role will be working alongside your team
Responsible for maintaining stock level and management
Responsible for allocation and handover of accommodation buildings and ranges
Ensure that the facilities adhere to safe systems of work and that the accommodation and ranges are fit for allocation
Range and training area maintenance to include light DIY and grounds maintenance
The Ideal Candidate
Knowledge of Health and Safety
Excellent communicator with people on all levels
Must hold full UK driving licence
IT skills with ability to use databases and Microsoft Office
Work in a diverse multi-tasking team environment
Previous working knowledge of Estate Services or Maintenance
Prepared to undertake further training
Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety
