Job Introduction

Landmarc, a leading provider of integrated training and sustainable infrastructure solutions for the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Strategic Review Manager to conduct a comprehensive review of its delivery mechanisms, processes, systems and structures.

As the Strategic Review Manager, you will lead a thorough evaluation of our delivery systems, focusing on enhancing performance, productivity, and profitability. Your insights and recommendations will be pivotal in driving strategic improvements and aligning our operations with our business objectives.

Main Responsibility

Operational Analysis:

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of current operational processes and systems
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and propose solutions for improvement
  • Evaluate the alignment of operations with the strategic objectives of the business


Performance Assessment:

  • Develop and implement metrics for evaluating operational performance
  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses
  • Benchmark Landmarc’s performance against industry standards and best practices
  • Create (bespoke to Landmarc) industry standard benchmarks for tasks unique to Landmarc outputs or assets


Productivity Evaluation:

  • Assess workforce productivity and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency
  • Review resource allocation and utilisation to optimise operational output
  • Investigate potential technological or procedural improvements to boost productivity
  • Align benchmark standards to task schedules and regional structures to support efficiency and productivity


Profitability Analysis:

  • Examine cost structures and financial performance of operational activities
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
  • Provide a detailed analysis of profitability by service line and recommend improvements


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather insights and validate findings
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss findings and recommendations
  • Ensure alignment of proposed changes with stakeholder expectations and strategic goals


Reporting and Recommendations:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, analyses, and recommendations
  • Present findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Develop an implementation roadmap for recommended changes

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record in strategic review or operational analysis, preferably within the Facilities Management or Defence sectors
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and report presentation
  • Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions to enhance operations
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Good understanding of financial analysis and profitability metrics
