Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Shifts run between: 08:00 - 16:00 from Monday to Sunday (Early finish on Fridays)
Hours of work: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent
Annual Allowances: £1,127.50 for working weekends
Location: Wathgill Camp, Wathgill, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL11 6AH
Main Responsibility
- Ensuring the camp is fit for purpose and cleaned to a high standard
- Cleaning accommodation and office blocks, including; ablutions, shower blocks, communal areas etc.
- Hand over and take back accommodation and facilities to the required standard
- Carrying out tests – Flushing of outlets, fire extinguisher checks etc.
- Grounds maintenance such as; grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting
- Basic maintenance includes replacing hasp and staples, bedsprings, door locks etc.
- Gritting - Snow and ice clearance when required
- Waste Management of Portaloo’s – Cleaning and checking of the Superloo’s
- Waste Sorting Station Duties
- Carry out any other additional requirements as needed
The Ideal Candidate
- General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge
- Understanding of Health and Safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to complete documentation
- Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet
- Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence to carry out the duties of this role (essential)
