Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services is looking for a motivated and reliable Site Operative to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the UK’s Armed Forces by helping to maintain clean, safe and welcoming training facilities.
No previous experience is required — just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a desire to take pride in your work. We’ll provide full training and great opportunities for career development.
Shifts run between: 08:00 - 17:00 from Monday to Friday. This role follows a flexible schedule, which may include weekend work.
Hours of work: 16 per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Ambleside Hut, The Green, Ambleside, LA22 9AU. Support may be required at Halton Training Camp, Lancaster, LA2 6LW.

What You’ll Be Doing
Keeping the training estate clean, tidy and fit for purpose
Cleaning offices, communal areas and accommodation blocks (including ablutions and shower facilities)
Carrying out general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming
Supporting basic building and grounds maintenance
Managing stock levels and completing simple documentation
Using both paper-based and digital systems
Assisting with any additional tasks needed to keep the site running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
General housekeeping or caretaking knowledge (desirable)
Understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and basic DIY
Good communication skills
Ability to complete simple documentation
Basic IT skills, including using a tablet
A valid UK driving licence (essential due to rural location)

About the Company
