Landmarc support services are currently seeking to recruit a Project Manager working in Construction, to be based at Wathgill Camp on the outskirts of Richmond in North Yorkshire.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple projects within allocated budgets and defined programmes across the contract, ensuring projects are safely delivered on time, to budget, and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple projects within allocated budgets and defined programmes across the contract, ensuring projects are safely delivered on time, to budget, and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibility
Management of one or more projects including major refurbishments, redevelopments and new builds in accordance with the company’s project management processes and procedures
Ensuring that the requirement is well-defined and approved by the appropriate stakeholders
Production of a project programme to ensure successful completion of each stage of the project and to utilise for regular progress reports to relevant stakeholders
Responsible for ensuring the correct surveys are carried out, for example structural, asbestos, Bat surveys etc.
Preparation and management of the Invitation to Tender process and all associated documentation
Effective management of design consultant and/or the principal contractor for the project
Responsible for the effective supervision and management of the contract (NEC ‘Engineering and Construction Short Contract’ and ‘Professional Services Short Contract’ templates)
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, legislations and statutory approvals etc. are adhered to throughout the project delivery cycle
Ensuring that all aspects of the projects are managed on the basis of industry best practice
Implementing the Company Health & Safety Procedures including CDM compliance and ensuring regulations relating to health & safety are being met
Responsible for the preparation, completion, communication and file management of all project documentation, utilising the company’s template documents and online filing system
To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective project management delivery across the training estate
The Ideal Candidate
What you know / have
Project management gained through proven, evidenced and demonstrable experience. Ideally supported with a minimum of a Level 4 qualification in Project Management, or equivalent
Knowledge of construction gained through proven, evidenced and demonstrable experience. Ideally supported with a minimum of a Level 5 construction related qualification, or equivalent
Knowledge of construction Health and Safety gained through proven, evidenced and demonstrable experience. Ideally supported with a minimum of a Level 4 construction related qualification, or equivalent
Knowledge and understanding of CDM Regulations and the roles / responsibilities of duty holders
Working knowledge of New Engineering Contract (NEC), ideally the ‘Engineering and Construction Short Contract’ and ‘Professional Services Short Contract’ templates
Sound knowledge and understanding of risk management
The ability to monitor and communicate project financial performance and administration for all assigned projects
Knowledge of workload scheduling and work order processes, preferably in a multi- tasking environment
What you can do
Manage multiple major works projects, with the ability to prioritise and schedule the workloads to ensure successful project delivery
Ability to deliver projects to strict deadlines, and to specific MOD / industry specifications and standards
Manage a varied range of deliverables and differing complexities through the project delivery cycle
Understand, interpret and manage finance and contract requirements
Ensure that relevant health and safety standards are implemented and maintained
Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders
Be flexible and capable to accept, implement and manage change, sometimes significant and at short notice
Work collaboratively with others, and be able to operate in isolation
Manage and work effectively and efficiently with consultants and contractors
Be IT literate, capable of effectively utilising Microsoft Office applications such a Word, Excel, Project etc.
Be willing to undertake mandatory and career development courses as directed by line management and to meet the needs of the business
