Job Introduction

Landmarc are currently recruiting an Operations Room administrator, initially on a 12 month, fixed term contract to provide maternity cover.  The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out any duties within your capability as required to provide the administrative and support services for DIO within the 24/7 hour environment of Sennybridge Operations Room

Main Responsibility

  • To support the Employer in the establishment and maintenance of the “Safe Place to Train” safety systems for Training Estate Ranges, Facilities and Areas in accordance with the allocation.
  • Monitor compliance with the NTEP service modules specifically Operations Rooms procedures, including range and training area oversight and communications using MCRT processes and equipment. Respond to operational calls and support the maintenance of ‘safe place’ on ranges and training areas utilizing or operating installed surveillance systems.
  • Undertake administrative support duties during quiet hours including: data capture and input, work order processing, and filing. Produce and coordinate reports, maintain mail services, housekeeping, auditing records and diary management. Capture minutes of meetings plus any other administrative tasks within your skills range.
  • To use a variety of office equipment and technology as required including PCs and tablets, paper-based systems, multi media center, laminators etc, using bespoke software and web-based information systems.
  • To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective contract delivery e.g. the Employer’s representatives regarding training area safety and usage, handover/ take back of facilities with service users. Support the Employer by disseminating information on their behalf to wider training estate users including the general public.
  • To support, within your skills and competence range and as directed by your manager, the Training Estate Facilities by ensuring they are fit for purpose in accordance the NTEP core service modules.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures
  • Knowledge of mapping and grid systems
  • Ability to operate office and communications equipment effectively
  • Computer literate
  • A good level of numeracy and literacy gained through a Level 2 qualification such as a G.C.S.E. grade A-C or equivalent and proven admin or support services experience
  • Experience of communicating with stakeholders
