Maintenance Supervisor

Job Introduction

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join the team based from Beckingham Training Camp and be responsible for all day-to-day maintenance activities across our Lincolnshire Defence Training Estate.

Working closely with the Team Manager, as Maintenance Supervisor you will oversee maintenance activities and have line management responsibility for a maintenance technician.

The role will be working predominantly Monday to Friday however; there is a requirement to participate in on call duties. 

Main Responsibility

To ensure all planned and reactive maintenance schedules are delivered within contractual timeframes

Supervision of onsite maintenance technician to include being responsible for (but not limited to) managing performance, attendance, behaviour, capability, welfare, health and safety and record keeping

Management of Contractors to ensure compliance with Health and Safety and CDM

Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective maintenance delivery

Ensure maintenance and asset records are kept up to date, completing all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems

The Ideal Candidate

Will have hands-on technical maintenance experience  

Will be a problem solver and have a can-do approach

Experience of leading maintenance staff

Previous working knowledge of a CAFM system and good IT skills

Strong Compliance and Health & Safety understanding

Candidates must meet the UK residency requirements

Excellent communication skills

Willing to undertake AP and RP duties

Have a full driver’s licence valid in the United Kingdom
