Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services are excited to offer a new post of Maintenance Manager (Mechanical & Electrical). The position will be based at Lulworth Camp in Dorset, with a requirement to work at other sites within the South West region.
In this role, you’ll be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a range of assets on the Defence Training Estate (DTE) ensuring that pre-planned & reactive maintenance are completed on time and to standard whilst developing life-cycle replacement options. Some of the assets will be bespoke to the DTE and will require an integrated approach with industry partners in the supply chain to develop new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) strategies. The positon is ideal for an experienced leader who enjoys working across multi-discipline teams with a thorough background in mechanical/electrical engineering and/or facilities management.

Main Responsibility
To lead and manage assigned teams both directly and indirectly to complete planned and reactive maintenance work orders.
Manage the work order process (SFG20, SOP 19/02, RWL) in accordance with company processes to action planned and reactive maintenance to meet contracted time-frames to support KPI successful KPI performance.
Monitor and manage Performance, Attendance, and Behaviours of your team, ensuring all tasks adhere to company policies, including Health & Safety, Quality, Welfare, Values & Behaviours standards.
To be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Defence Training Estate (DTE) - specific assets, fostering collaboration with supply chain partners to support maintenance and life-cycle asset management.
Lead by example to create an excellent Health and Safety culture.
Develop and implement new repair processes and adopt innovative technology and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and wider stakeholders within the DTE, ensuring effective communication and cooperation.
Develop and ensure repair specifications are provided to both internal and external suppliers and ensure that completion records (demonstration of compliance) are retained and stored according the contractual requirements.
Provide support across various key sites in the South West, including Bovington, Wyke Regis, Chickerell, Straight Point (Exmouth), Langport, and Yoxter. Occasional travel to other regional sites may be required.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Experience as an electrical or mechanical engineer or technician
- Educated to NVQ3 in a relevant engineering trade
- Proficiency in IT-based integrated management systems such as ERP/CAFM
- Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven track record in managing sub-contractors and suppliers, fostering collaborative and productive relationships
- Must hold Valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Educated to HNC or similar HE qualification in a relevant engineering trade
- Experience of IBM Maximo and/or SFG 20 standards
- Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management)/CDM Regulations
- Experience of providing M&E support to bespoke non COTS assets and equipment
