Maintenance Manager

Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services, a leading facilities management company, is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their dedicated team based at Okehampton Camp in Devon.

As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for providing advice to a team of skilled technicians, who you will task to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the built and rural estate, the successful applicant will have an excellent understanding of work scheduling, health & safety and compliance and managing KPI's.

This is a regional role and you will on occasion be required to travel between sites within the South West area to ensure that the Training Estate Facilities are safe and fit for purpose.

 

*Rate is subject to formal settlement of current pay negotiations*

Main Responsibility

  • To manage a team of people being responsible for (but not limited to) managing performance, attendance, behaviour, capability, welfare, health and safety and record keeping
  • To be responsible for Hard FM across the South West region
  • Schedule workloads and manage work for a team of maintenance technicians and others where required
  • Manage and carry out planned and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Manage contractors and sub-contractors
  • Ensure all remedial and reactive maintenance tasks are delivered within contractual timelines
  • Actively ensure resolution of issues identified by Landmarc staff, the customer or site users and monitor and develop customer trends
  • Ensure all works are compliant with CDM regulations, Building regulations, Fire safety and Planning and Environmental guidance
  • Write contract specifications, evaluate quotations and manage contractors on multiple sites in the South West area
  • Maintain and update asset records utilising both IT and paper systems
  • KPI management

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work to IOSH Managing Safely level
  • Knowledge of stores procurement, gas, oil fired boilers and heating appliances
  • Experience of workload scheduling and work order processes, preferably in a multi- tasking environment
  • Knowledge of BMS control systems
  • Excellent IT skills (Essential)
  • Experience of Asset Management Systems and ideally have experience of Maximo (Maintenance Management System)
  • Knowledge of SFG20
  • Understanding of budgets
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Be willing to participate in on call duties
  • Willingness to travel to other sites when required
  • Must hold Full Valid UK driving licence (Essential)
