Maintenance Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at West Tofts (IP26 5EP) on the outskirts of Thetford, in Norfolk. The successful person will have an in depth understanding of building services and Facilities Management (FM).

As Maintenance Manager, you will join a fast paced team who are responsible for Hard FM across the East region. You will assist in the management of reactive, planned and preventative maintenance tasks ensuring that all tasks are completed according to designated timescales. Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective maintenance delivery. Update maintenance and asset information utilising bespoke software packages. Write contract specifications, evaluate quotations, and manage contractors for reactive additional works tasks.

Main Responsibility

To manage a team of people being responsible for (but not limited to) managing performance, attendance, behaviour, capability, welfare, health and safety and record keeping

KPI management 

To manage and carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks

To ensure all remedial and reactive maintenance tasks are delivered within contractual timeframes.

Ensure all works are compliant with statutory obligations such as CDM, Building Regulations/Standards, Fire Safety, Equality Act, Planning and Environmental Guidance

Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective maintenance delivery

Ensure maintenance and asset records are kept up to date, completing all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems

Evaluate quotations, and manage contractors for small valid jobs to support bought-in-services requirements

The Ideal Candidate

Will be working in a similar role managing Hard FM and/or technical services

Knowledge of property compliance legislation and best practice within a similar organisation. Ideally, with knowledge of SFG20 standards.

Knowledge of Legionella and Asbestos Management Plans

Experience of managing Health and Safety and writing task specific risk assessments and method statements. Ideally hold IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification

Experience of managing contractors, ensuring CDM compliance.

Experience of managing and updating CAFM and Asset Management Systems. Ideally, with experience of Maximo

Delivering a service to tight deadlines and excellent quality standards.

Experience of working to budgets to ensure best value.

Experience of driving continuous improvement.

Be willing to do training to undertake AP and RP Duties (attracts additional allowance).

Be willing to participate in on call duties (attracts additional allowance)
