Landmarc Support Services is hiring a skilled Maintenance Fabricator to join our dedicated team at RAF Spadeadam. As a Maintenance Fabricator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our training estate facilities are safe, functional, and fit for purpose. If you’re passionate about fabrication, welding, and metalwork and want to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment, this permanent, full-time role could be your next career move.
Main Responsibilities
- Performing general fabrication, welding, machining, and carpentry tasks
- Maintaining and repairing buildings, assets, vehicles, and equipment
- Conducting inspections, preventative maintenance, and remedial works
- Operating tools, plant machinery, and specialist equipment
- Supporting apprentices and trainees through mentoring
- Completing documentation using both IT and paper-based systems
- Liaising with stakeholders, contractors, and site users
- Working safely in high-risk environments (e.g. heights, confined spaces)
The Ideal Candidate
- Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ or equivalent) in Fabrication or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices (COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments)
- Experience in a multi-skilled, mobile team environment
- Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of tools and equipment
- Basic IT skills and documentation proficiency
- Willingness to undertake training for high-risk work areas
- Valid UK driving licence (preferred)
