About the Role
Are you an experienced logistics professional with a drive for managing complex equipment inventories and driving operational excellence? Landmarc Support Services is looking for a Logistics & Equipment Support Manager to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), with a strong emphasis on Plant and Machinery. From digital inventory systems to third-party contractor management, you will be instrumental in ensuring our equipment portfolio is compliant, operational, and fit-for-purpose – supporting essential services across the MOD rural estate.
Key Responsibilities
While not exhaustive, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and developing policies and procedures for GFE management.
- Managing a diverse range of equipment types, including but not limited to:
- Plant & Machinery
- Lifting Equipment
- Radar, Targetry, and DMR Systems
- Accommodation & Bedding Stores
- Body-Worn Cameras, Field Telephones, Smoke Packs, and more
- Maintaining a comprehensive digital inventory in collaboration with the client.
- Acting as Contract Manager for plant and machinery servicing contracts.
- Leading the creation of maintenance processes and asset optimisation strategies.
- Delivering training and support to regional teams.
- Forecasting future equipment requirements and advising on replacement strategy.
- Working closely with SMEs and site teams for seamless operational delivery.
- Supporting business plan execution and compliance through biannual asset audits.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You should have hands-on experience managing Plant and Machinery, particularly with Briggs Equipment, and a practical understanding of equipment lifecycle management. Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential if backed by demonstrable experience.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong knowledge of GFE, asset management, and MOD operational contexts.
- Familiar with Maximo CAFM and proficient in inventory/accounting systems.
- Experience in procurement, maintenance, and disposal of Plant & Machinery.
- Understanding of SoN (Statement of Need) and MOD equipment standards.
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office, SharePoint).
- Clear communicator, confident representing the business to clients and partners.
- Able to work both autonomously and within a wider team.
- Knowledge of DEFSTAN 05-99, DEFCONs, and MOD contracting environments.
Desirable:
- Experience in facilities management.
- HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent experience.
- Auditing experience.
