Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services currently have an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join the company on a 2 year fixed term contract.

 

As the HR Business Partner you will be required to get involved in all HR related matters across the busy and complex South East region. You will be working closely with the Regional Operations Manager and regional teams and to fully embed into the team, there will be regular visits across the area with sites in Kent, Hampshire and Surrey and occasional overnight stays.

This role is responsible for the delivery of the HR strategy in your allocated region, the role will report into the Head of HR.

Main Responsibility

To contribute to and be responsible for the delivery of the HR strategy in regions and to provide advice, guidance and assistance to individual employees, managers and supervisors in relation to all aspects of HR Management whilst encouraging, coaching and supporting the effective performance of people by developing them to meet business requirements whilst avoiding litigation. .(A hands on role delivering improved performance and accountability for regional HR activities.)

 

Support the Regional Managers in their communication with staff regarding all aspects of HR consultation processes and by providing timely and accurate advice on managing workforce behaviour; attendance; and capability issues.

 

Establishing good relations with local TU representatives and addressing any concerns on a regional basis to minimise escalation to national level.

 

Deliver and support operational and strategic HR projects and initiatives at a local and national level.

 

To coach/mentor HR Co-ordinators in the application of Landmarc HR Policies and ensure that "best practice" for the business is attained.

 

Maintain confidentiality and security of all HR related material and information including personal files.  Be aware of Data Protection requirements and ensure compliance throughout the programme.

 

Work flexibly with colleagues in the wider HR team to provide continuity of service and accuracy of information.             

 

Willingness to undertake travel to business units with some overnight stays.

The Ideal Candidate

What you know:

 

Knowledge of generalist HR functions through a formal qualification – CIPD and practical experience

 

Experience of dealing with complex HR case management issues

 

Good IT skills specifically Microsoft Office - Word/ Excel/ Outlook

 

It is desirable to have knowledge in the use of HR systems

 

Practical ability to quickly produce high standard accurate written work under time pressures.

 

Knowledge of project work and the practicalities of delivery

 

 

What you can do:

Proven experience of supporting a fast paced HR service environment

 

Ability to provide HR advice and guidance to line managers in line with legal requirements.

 

Work to the level of a chartered CIPD member

 

Produce Management Information as required

 

Communicate confidently and clearly with stakeholders at all levels – sometimes within the context of difficult and potentially stressful and confidential consultations

 

Operate with commercial awareness both at strategic and advisory levels

 

Create and develop policies and procedures and develop and deliver training
