As the Gas & Heating Maintenance Technician you are responsible to manage and carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities as required at Longmoor Camp in Liss, Hampshire.
Main Responsibility
Installing, servicing and repairing of oil and gas hot water and heating systems, HVAC, air handling systems and water systems in both domestic and commercial (desirable) environments.
Manage and carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks as required.
To be able to manage your own work load and target dates via a tablet and or paper.
Ensure appliances are safe working and be able to identify parts required for maintenance and repair
Ensure all works are compliant with statutory obligations such as CDM, building regs/standards, fire safety, equality act, planning and environmental guidance
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective relationships
Complete documentation using IT equipment
The Ideal Candidate
NVQ level 3 or equivalent in either domestic or commercial natural gas installation
Gas Safe and OFTEC qualified
Knowledge of Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation (Air Handling Units) but also Air conditioning (HVAC) (Desirable)
Health and Safety qualified – IOSH Working Safely (Desirable)
Other supporting qualifications relating to domestic and commercial gas and heating. Please note that Commercial qualifications are desirable, but not essential and full training can be provided
Knowledge of H&S such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Experience of communicating with customers
Knowledge in working in confined spaces
Knowledge of Asbestos awareness
Prepared to undertake further training this may include AP Gas
