Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Cleaning Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Role Details
- Salary: £25,875.72 + £1,127.50 Variable Days Allowance
- Location: Warcop Camp, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6PA
- Contract: Permanent / Full‑time / On-site
- Hours: Monday to Friday, between 08:00 - 16:00, (08:00 - 15:30 Fridays)

What You’ll Do
- Ensuring cleanliness across site facilities
- Cleaning accommodation blocks, offices, and communal areas
- Carrying out general cleaning duties (mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.)
- Supporting basic building maintenance and upkeep
- Assisting with grounds maintenance tasks
- Managing and replenishing cleaning supplies and stock
- Completing basic records and documentation (paper and digital)
- Providing flexible support across the site as needed
- Carry out any other additional requirements as needed
Secondary Duties
- Looking after the camps general maintenance and cleanliness. This is known as a Site Operative at Landmarc Support Services
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- A reliable and proactive approach to work
- Basic knowledge of cleaning, housekeeping or caretaking
- Understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT skills (e.g. using a tablet)
- Full UK driving licence (essential) due to the rural location
