B&CE Maintenance Technician

Job Introduction

An opportunity has arisen at Landmarc Support Services for a B&CE Maintenance Technician to join our thriving business at Wathgill and surrounding camps in North Yorkshire.

As the B&CE Maintenance Technician you to be responsible for any maintenance both planned and reactive. This role will be based over multiple surrounding sites, to ensure that the Training Estate Facilities are safe and fit for purpose.

This position is being offered on a permanent basis, covering 37 hours per week, between Monday and Friday. On Call duties will be required outside of normal working hours, overtime will be applicable.

Main Responsibility

All general maintenance repairs across the Training Estate and tenanted properties, such as; Bricklaying, Pathing replacement and repairs, Fencing, Roofing repairs, Door and window repairs, Door Lock repairs, Flooring repairs, Plaster repairs etc.

Use of a variety of power tools to undertake the above duties

Maintain competence, skills and abilities within relevant disciplines attending further training courses when required

Accept appointment as an Authorised Person (AP) for safe systems of work in relevant skills discipline as required to support the business

Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to

Drive and operate fleet vehicles, travelling to other regional sites where necessary

Manage the delivery contract requirements to tight deadlines and appropriate quality standards

To complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems

Work as part of an On-call rota where required (outside of normal working hours)

To carry out additional works in response to additional contract requirements as required

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of multi trade skills gained through the completion of level 3 qualifications such as City and Guilds or equivalent and/or proven relevant experience

Knowledge of Health & Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work

Knowledge of Asbestos awareness

Work in a diverse multi-tasking mobile team environment

Ability to operate and maintain a range of tools and equipment

Willingness to undertake further training to work in high risk areas (i.e. Working at Height, Confined spaces)

Flexible, adaptable and able to undertake lone working

Have a full driver’s licence valid in the United Kingdom (essential)
