Landmarc Support Services currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical AP to join the Regional Team based at Hythe Camp.
As the Electrical AP HV/LV carry out typical AP duties, as listed below, with the requirement to gain qualifications in other disciplines as required.
Main Responsibility
- Plan and develop safe systems of work for activities in relation to the specialist discipline/area
- Provide professional expertise in the relevant discipline(s) / subject matters; sharing knowledge / understanding with the region’s AP resource & SITE Engineering, Technical & Project teams
- Ensure adoption and application of the required safe systems of work to JSP 375; including relevant statutory compliance, across all sites applied.
- Monitor & review performance, tracking trends & escalating any issues / concerns / obstacles to the Regional Management team.
- Maintain knowledge / awareness of developments / changes in legislation, standards & innovation in respect of the discipline
- Ensure work is prioritised appropriately
- Ensure robust application of health, safety & environmental procedures & processes
- Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level
- Oversee and manage contractors on site; monitoring & ensuring the implementation & performance of tasks allocated
- Identify & ensure all key assets are available and appropriately maintained; making recommendations on improvements & additional requirements to FM / Business leads, as appropriate
- Undertake and assist with completion of planned and reactive maintenance
- Ensure all schematics and drawings are up to date and relevant
The Ideal Candidate
- Be qualified in an Electrical or Mechanical engineering discipline.
- Significant experience and currently operating as an Authorised Person, assessed and appointed by an Authorising Engineer preferred, controlling activities on systems such as High Voltage Electrical, Low Voltage Electrical, Mechanical and Compressed air systems, working in a large and complex environment
- Understanding of PTW systems such as HSG250 or JSP375 or similar and an understanding of planning requirements associated with the isolation of complex building engineering services systems
- Be the SME point of contact throughout the lifecycle of a project
- Ability to influence the behaviour of others to achieve an important objective of the business, without damaging relationships.
- Ability to explain complex issues orally and in writing, concisely and timely, which is understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to seek solutions to difficult working situations with others to achieve common goals whilst upholding the values of Landmarc
- Challenges the status quo and drives through change in order to implement improved processes to manage high risk activities in a complex and challenging environment
- Demonstrable understanding of CDM
- Workload scheduling and work order processes, preferably in a multi-tasking environment
